Surroundings White Village of Tolox in Andalucia

Tolox is situated at the foot of the Sierra de las Nieves, which is a Natural Park of 20.000 hectares which have been declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO. Home to the highest mountain in Malaga, la Torecilla (1 919m), it includes 2000 hectares of pine forest with the Pinsapo as its emblem and also: oak, carob, wild olive, cork oak, maple and many more.
One of the deepest potholes in Europe, the GESM, drops 1098m, the sima de Tinaja, 5kms from Tolox is 54m deep. There are dozens of listed caves and potholes and it could take years to explore them all.

With a good rain fall, the mountain areas are covered in vegetation and trees bearing many fruits and brilliant colors. The animals and bird life range from mountain goat to deer, mongoose to eagle owl, eagles and vultures, the list is impressive and endless.

Activities Tolox

You can visit many interesting places such as: Ronda, Sevilla, Cordoba, Grenada, Malaga, Marbella, Puerto Banus, Gibraltar, Tarifa> with its sandy beach and surf board training place, the biggest in Europe.
If you prefer going shopping, you will find a bargain in the Commercial Centre La Cañada on the way to Marbella where you can also eat and watch a movie.
We also organized many walks in the mountains with spectacular views.

If walking is too much, you can spend a day in a 4 wheel drive car going round villages and natural mountain river and park. A wonderful experience which will enable you to disconnect with the busy sound of the city.
In the Summer, from May to October, there is the SPA (Balneario) established in 1867,> where people come from all over the world for the wonderful healing properties of the water, curing many conditions from asthma, chronic bronchitis and emphysema to kidney stones and diuretic problems.
